GLP-1

The Hidden Revenue in Your GLP-1 Partials

Most of the patients you pay to bring into your GLP-1 funnel leave before they pay. They are not lost causes. They are the warmest leads you will ever own.

What a GLP-1 partial really is

A partial is someone who started your funnel and stopped before checkout. In GLP-1 and medical weight loss, that usually means they entered a name, an email and a phone number, then answered at least part of your intake: height and weight for BMI, goals, medical history, current medications.

Think about what that takes. Nobody types their weight and medical history into a form for fun. A GLP-1 partial has already pictured themselves on the program. Something stopped them, and in most cases it was one unanswered question, not a decision against you.

Where GLP-1 patients drop off

Every funnel is different, but the same four exits come up again and again:

  • The medical intake. Long questionnaires, unclear questions or no time to finish. The patient means to come back and never does.
  • The price page. The monthly cost is higher than they expected, especially for patients comparing compounded programs with brand-name medication.
  • The checkout. A declined card, a moment of doubt or a distraction at exactly the wrong time.
  • Trust. Some patients simply want to hear a person before they hand over a card for a monthly health subscription.

Look at that list again. Each of these is a conversation, and none of them is solved by a fourth reminder email.

What your partials are worth: a simple model

Here is an illustrative example. The numbers are assumptions, not a forecast; plug in your own.

GLP-1 partials per month10,000
Answer rate (picked up ÷ called)50%
Conversion rate (sales ÷ answered)12%
New subscribers per month600
First-month value at $249$149,400

That is first-month revenue only. GLP-1 is a subscription, so every patient who stays for a second and third month multiplies the number. And all of it comes from traffic you already paid for, which means the cost per acquisition of those subscribers is a fraction of your paid-media CPA.

The model also shows where the leverage is. Two numbers decide the result: how many partials pick up, and how many of those buy. Move either one a few points and the outcome changes by hundreds of subscribers a month.

Why email and SMS leave most of it on the table

Abandoned-cart emails and texts are worth running. They bring back patients who were already close and just got distracted. But a patient who stopped at the price, or at a question about side effects, needs an answer, not a reminder.

On a phone call, a trained agent hears the real objection, answers it inside your approved script and takes the payment while the patient is still on the line. That is a different tool for a different job, and it reaches the partials your automated flows never will.

What a good GLP-1 recovery call sounds like

A strong call is short, specific and on-brand:

  1. It comes fast. Intent fades quickly after a drop-off, so the newest partials are called first, inside the patient’s state calling hours.
  2. It opens with your brand. A verified, branded caller ID and an opening that names your program, not an unknown number the patient ignores.
  3. It picks up where the patient stopped. The agent knows whether they left at the intake, the price or the checkout, and starts there.
  4. It handles the objection, and only that. Price questions get your approved value story and, if needed, your approved floor price. Clinical questions about dosing or side effects go to your providers, every time.
  5. It closes on your page. Payment is taken on your own domain, into your own Stripe account, and the outcome is posted back to your CRM.

The compliance side is not optional

GLP-1 marketing gets more regulatory attention than almost any category in telehealth. Any outbound program needs, at a minimum:

  • Consent to be called, collected on your site, and calls placed only inside each state’s permitted hours.
  • Instant do-not-call handling: a patient who says no is never called again.
  • A HIPAA Business Associate Agreement with whoever handles your partial data.
  • Only the claims and product language your medical and legal teams approved, and no medical advice from sales agents.

How to choose an outbound partner for GLP-1

If you are evaluating a call center for your GLP-1 partials, ask five questions:

  • What do you do to protect answer rate: call signing, branded caller ID, spam-label monitoring?
  • Are your agents trained on GLP-1 specifically, and on my brand before their first call?
  • Do you bill per hour, or per closed sale?
  • Will you sign a BAA, and where does my patient data live?
  • Is payment taken on my page and into my Stripe account?

The answers tell you whether you are hiring a sales partner or renting seats.

The bottom line

Your GLP-1 partials are not leftovers. They are patients who were one good conversation away from subscribing. Calling them with trained, compliant salespeople is usually the cheapest new revenue a GLP-1 brand can find, because the acquisition cost has already been paid.
